To understand the game it's important to accept that it is a Civ-like - but then to examine what it does differently, and why. Humankind blatantly owes a great deal of debt to Sid Meier's massive history-spanning series - but it's also trying to break out and do something different. It's pretty much impossible to talk about Sega and Amplitude Studios' latest PC strategy game without talking about Civilization - so let's not even try.
